Karachi: Senior police officer booked in robbery case

Police have registered a robbery case against a senior officer and his four cronies for snatching cash and mobile phone from a commoner, SAMAA reports.

The FIR, registered in the Sohrab Goath police station on the complaint of Muhammad Afzal, states that SP Zakir Hussain and his companions arrived in the area to resolve a land dispute, and snatched Afzals mobile phone and Rs21000 cash after an altercation. 

The complainant said he and his neighbors raised alarm in reaction, prompting a police party to arrest the SP and four others.

Sources said the police were reluctant to reveal arrestment of their colleagues. SAMAA
