A DARWIN policewoman had her nose bloodied and her shirt ripped off and another officer suffered minor injuries when they were set upon by a group of seven or eight people in the city's north-east.
Northern Territory police said the officers were doing a patrol around the Malak Oval today when the spotted a group of people drinking alcohol.
"Two police officers attempted to tip out the alcohol however they were set upon by a group of about seven or eight people," senior sergeant Greg Pusterla said.
The female officer was hit with a stick while her colleague suffered scratching and bruising.
They were taken to Darwin Hospital for treatment to their injuries.
