Worst of all, the whole dramatic medical emergency was caught on camera.

The nation's media were following every step of the dramatic journey in Mexico City to the capital's hospital.

They watched as the heart was driven across police-cleared streets to the airport strip where a private plane was waiting, successfully transferred to the plane and then carefully unloaded on its arrival.
